Diame: 'West Ham must continue progress'

West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame has called on the squad to remain focused and pick up more points in their fight for Premier League survival.

The Hammers, who have not played since March 1, are currently in 10th place in the table thanks to four victories from their previous five games.

Diame now hopes that the team can get back to winning ways following their 1-0 defeat to Everton last time out.

"Things are good amongst the squad," he told the club's official website.

"After the game against Everton, I think it was important to have some rest and a break to come back here and start again and try to find the win again.

"Now, we are back to league action and we are in a better position than a few months ago, but we want to keep picking up points. We just need to keep going and need to make sure we take as many points as possible by the end of the season."

West Ham return to Premier League action on Saturday when they face Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
