West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has described his recent injury problems as a "massive nightmare".
The £15m signing from Liverpool made his first appearance of the season last weekend during the Hammers' 2-0 win against Cardiff City following a persistent heel injury.
However, the England international is now eager to forget the past few months as West Ham turn their focus to Premier League survival.
"It has been a massive nightmare to be honest," Carroll told the club's official website. "I went off to Belgium and then to Holland, to fix it but now I am feeling really good and all I want to do is play football.
"I just want to forget about the past months with the injury and just look forward to playing more football for West Ham. I can't stand being on the sidelines. It drives me crazy."
West Ham return to action on Saturday when they play host to Newcastle United in the Premier League.
