West Ham United youngster Reece Burke eager to continue first-team run

Reece Burke admits that he wants to continue his run in the West Ham United first team against Newcastle United on the final day of the season.

West Ham United youngster Reece Burke has revealed that he is eager to continue his run in the first team against Newcastle United tomorrow.

The 18-year-old defender has featured in the Hammers' last four Premier League matches, though only one of those has ended in a win.

Burke now wants to take to the field at St James' Park on Sunday and help West Ham end the season on a high.

"I'm pretty excited at the prospect of playing there," he told the club's official website. "I want to prepare well and finish off with a win in the last game of the season.

"It's been great to play at a few of these grounds. I'm really excited by Sunday's game. It's a big one for them and obviously we want to win as well, because we've got goals and targets to achieve."

West Ham head to the North-East in 11th place in the Premier League table.
