Allardyce: 'West Ham United not safe yet

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce admits that his side are not safe in the Premier League, despite moving up to 10th with a 2-0 win against Norwich City.

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has claimed that he still has work to do to move his side further away from the relegation zone.

The Hammers have won their last three matches to move themselves up to 10th in the Premier League.

However, after watching his players beat Norwich City 2-0 on Tuesday evening, Allardyce admitted there was still a danger of being sucked back into the relegation dogfight.

He told reporters: "We're absolutely delighted we've got three wins on the trot, [it's] a terrific run of form we're in, [but] we're still not out of the bottom end in terms of the distance in points, [which is] still not that great.

"Norwich had the better of the second half but, when you're as good as we are defensively, then you've got to [defend well] then wait for the right opportunity.

"Now we're in a scoring mood and, because we're brilliant at keeping clean sheets, that's picking us up win after win after win."

West Ham host Southampton on Saturday.
