Allardyce 'very disappointed' by defeat

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has admitted that he is 'extremely disappointed' by his side's 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.

The Hammers suffered a fourth loss in five Premier League games on Saturday as Andy King's late goal made the difference at the King Power Stadium.

Following an attacking display from his players, Allardyce believes that they were unlucky not to come away with something to show for their efforts.

"To lose the game right at the end when it looks like we'd at least get a point is extremely disappointing. Either team could have won it. They did, we didn't and we're disappointed," he told the club's official website.

"We couldn't do much more in terms of opening a team up and playing better than we did. It made us a little shorter on the defending side but you take that risk when you play away from home and you try to open the opposition up."

West Ham have the chance to get back to winning ways on April 11 when they welcome Stoke City to Upton Park.
