Adrian hails West Ham United defence

West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian praises his team's defensive abilities following their 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian has praised his team's defensive abilities following their 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

The Hammers kept their fourth clean sheet in five matches, and the Spaniard is delighted at their recent improvement in form.

"It's unbelievable! It's another three points and another clean sheet. That's three away matches with a clean sheet now and that's the way we have to go forward," he told the club's official website.

"It was very important to win again and for us to keep another clean sheet. For me, this is perfect! As a goalkeeper, you rely on the other players for help and at Villa I didn't have to make too many saves. It's important because the team defends very, very well.

"The whole team is defending well. Every player is doing his job and this is important. If you have a good defence, then you can have chances to win the game, and we're doing that."

West Ham moved up to 15th in the Premier League table following today's result.
