West Brom want Sawyers as Chadli replacement?

West Bromwich Albion boss Darren Moore will reportedly move for Brentford midfielder Romaine Sawyers, should Nacer Chadli leave the club.

Chadli, who has a £17m relegation release clause in his contract, is expected to be snapped up following his impressive performances for Belgium at the World Cup.

The report from the Express & Star adds that Moore, who worked with Sawyers when the midfielder was in West Brom's youth setup, will look to bring the 26-year-old back to The Hawthorns ahead of a promotion push next season.

The newspaper says that, although Brentford would be unhappy to lose Sawyers, who made 42 Championship appearances last term, any sale would present a profit following the midfielder's free transfer to the Bees from Walsall.

Sawyers scored four goals and assisted four others in the second tier last term.
