Pulis: 'No need to sell Nacer Chadli'

Tony Pulis has insisted that West Bromwich Albion are not looking to cash in on winger Nacer Chadli, despite rumours of a falling out between the pair.

Chadli, who only joined from Tottenham Hotspur 12 months ago, was recently left out of the Baggies' squad for their pre-season trip to Austria.

Reports at the time suggested that the 27-year-old's omission came as a result of a confrontation with Pulis, having made it known that he is not a fan of the Welshman's gruelling summer training regime.

Swansea City have since been linked with a move for Chadli, but Pulis is adamant that one of his star attacking players is going nowhere this summer.

"Chadli is a West Brom player, he's been a West Brom player for a year," he told reporters. "Let's hope he's a West Brom player for a couple of years.

"I think he signed a three or four-year contract so we have no reason to get rid of Chadli. We don't need the money and he's a good player and we want to keep our good players."

Chadli played a direct part in 10 goals in 31 Premier League appearances last season upon joining from Spurs in a £10m deal.
