West Bromwich Albion defender Liam Ridgewell is confident that his new club will avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.
Ridgewell joined the Baggies from rivals Birmingham City on transfer deadline day and made his debut in their 5-1 thrashing of Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Black Country derby last weekend.
"With this team and the capabilities of the side we can get away from trouble," Ridgewell told the Shropshire Star.
"We just need to make sure we keep going. There are teams that have been brilliant that have gone down.
"But if we keep performing like we did against Wolves, we will be alright."
Roy Hodgson's side are currently 14th in the Premier League table.
