Preview: West Bromwich Albion vs. Manchester United

West Brom vs. Man Utd

Sir Alex Ferguson will take charge of Manchester United for the final time on Sunday when his side face West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.

Ferguson, who has been United manager for 26 years, announced last week that he will retire at the end of this season, with David Moyes replacing him in the Old Trafford hotseat.

West Brom come into the game having lost five of their last seven Premier League games, including last weekend's 4-0 reversal at the hands of Norwich City. Steve Clarke's men sit eighth in the table with nothing left to play for this season.

West Brom midfielder Steven Reid picked up a knock in the loss at Norwich but could recover in time to face United, while Marc-Antoine Fortune returns from suspension.

Anders Lindegaard will replace David de Gea in goal for the visitors while Jonny Evans and Phil Jones are set to start in defence. Rafael serves the second game of his three-match ban.

Wayne Rooney may not feature for the second game in succession after Ferguson confirmed this week that the England striker put in a transfer request. Rooney was left out of the squad for the 2-1 victory over Swansea City last weekend.
