Pulis sticks to safety target

West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis has insisted that his side still need seven points to secure Premier League safety.

The Baggies are currently 14th in the table on 33 points following their 3-0 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday.

Pulis says that there is no room for complacency, despite his side sitting eight points clear of 18th-placed Burnley with eight games to play.

"We need two wins and a draw," he told The Mirror. "We need 40 points. And the quicker we get there the better.

"Am I confident? I'm always confident, in my own ability and of the players."

West Brom return to action against Queens Park Rangers after the international break.
