Brunt: 'European qualification would stretch resources'

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Chris Brunt believes that the club might struggle to cope with the demands of European football should they qualify for the Europa League.

The Baggies are currently six points away from fifth place, which would earn them a place in Europe next season, but Brunt has insisted that success might come too early for the club should they move up the league table.

The 28-year-old told reporters: "People have been talking about Europe but it's probably a step too far now, and for a club of our size, it would probably be a bit of a stretch on resources.

"If it happened, it would be great, but it would be tough. We've got to finish better than we did last year. That would be a successful season for us."

West Brom have won three out of their last five Premier League matches, which has seen the club move to eighth place in the table.
