Live Commentary: West Bromwich Albion 1-2 Stoke City - as it happened

Stoke City finished their Premier League season with a 2-1 win against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.

Gareth McAuley's own goal gave the visitors the lead before Stephane Sessegnon restored parity with a close-range finish in the second half.

Charlie Adam gave his side the win with a superb strike three minutes from time as Mark Hughes's side finished ninth in the division.

4.02pmWest Brom haven't offered much up top, and Pepe Mel may be forced to bring on Victor Anichebe, who is on the bench. The burly frontman would certainly offer a presence that has been lacking in the first half.

3.58pmWell, what to make of that first half? The atmosphere has been great and West Brom started brightly. However, Stoke eventually started to find their rhythm and they were certainly the better side during the opening half.

2.57pmPREDICTION: I'm going to with a 2-1 win for the visitors. Marko Arnautovic has been in inspired form of late, and I think the Austrian will be key for his side this afternoon.

2.55pmWe're about five minutes away from kick off, as mentioned, not a whole lot resting on this one, so hopefully we'll get an entertaining game.

2.46pmSome interesting rumours coming out of Carrow Road. Ricky van Wolfswinkel has reportedly stormed out in protest of being omitted from Norwich's matchday squad. The Dutchman has scored just once since his big-money move last summer.
