Werder Bremen confirm Miroslav Klose interest

Werder Bremen confirm their interest in re-signing Miroslav Klose, who is widely expected to leave Lazio.

Werder Bremen sporting director Thomas Eichin has revealed that the German club are interested in re-signing Miroslav Klose.

The 36-year-old, who helped Germany win the 2014 World Cup, is widely expected to leave Lazio when his current deal expires next summer.

However, it is understood that Bremen will attempt to bring the forward back to Germany this month.

"Should Miroslav Klose become available on the market, we will certainly consider him," Eichin told Sport Bild.

"He has a great Werder past and a very good name in Bremen."

Klose scored 60 times in 128 games for Bremen between 2004 and 2007, before joining Bayern Munich.
