Clemens Fritz hopes Werder Bremen follow Eintracht Frankfurt's lead

Werder Bremen's captain hopes that his side can upset Bayer Leverkusen as Eintracht Frankfurt did last weekend.

Werder Bremen captain Clemens Fritz has encouraged his teammates to match the performance of Eintracht Frankfurt, who beat Bremen's next opponents Bayer Leverkusen last weekend.

Fritz said that with home advantage he can see his side making it two surprise results in as many games for the side currently second in the Bundesliga.

"Bayer have been one of the top teams in the division for several years, but we've definitely got a chance in front of our own spectators," he told Bundesliga.com. "Frankfurt set us a good example last week. Surprises are always possible in football."

Fritz has played for Bremen since 2006.
