Marco Amelia close to Watford switch?

Goalkeeper Marco Amelia is reportedly on the verge of joining Watford.

The 32-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving AC Milan at the end of last season.

The keeper had been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion earlier in the summer, but according to CalcioNews24.com, he has now agreed personal terms with the Hornets.

Amelia has won nine caps for Italy, but he has not played for his country since 2009.
