Javi Gracia: 'I am not relaxing at Watford'

Watford boss Javi Gracia has said that he is "not relaxed" ahead of his first game in charge of the club this weekend.

The Hornets travel to Southampton in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday in Gracia's first challenge since taking over from Marco Silva.

Former Rubin Kazan boss Gracia told Sky Sports News that while he is looking forward to his first game, he needs to send a positive message to the club's fans.

"I am not relaxed, I'm always looking forward the next match," the 47-year-old said. "I need a good result, I need it, as it is my first experience here. I want to make a really good job.

"I try to keep calm in games but if you want the players to have a good performance than I need to keep a good attitude - it is important to send a message with motivation and confidence."

Watford's match against Southampton is followed by a Premier League tie against Chelsea at Vicarage Road.
