The Robins' inconsistency continued after a home loss against Stoke City, whereas Albion's winning run came to an abrupt end at Coventry City in midweek.

Bristol City have arguably been the most inconsistent team in the Championship this season, and Pearson clashing with members of the squad will not be helping their aim of improving results.
West Brom have shown what type of team they can be under Corberan, and it would not be a surprise to see Albion get back to winning ways at Ashton Gate on Monday.

Hull City and Blackpool square off at the MKM Stadium on Boxing Day with both clubs looking to boost their survival hopes in the Championship.
The two clubs occupy 21st and 22nd position in the standings respectively having each collected just two points from their most recent three fixtures.
We say: Hull City 2-1 Blackpool
This has all the makings of being a tense match, each team aware of the significance of a defeat even at this stage of the campaign. For us, however, Hull are growing in confidence under Rosenior, and we expect the Tigers to edge this contest by the odd goal in three.

Preston North End will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Boxing Day when they welcome struggling Huddersfield Town to Deepdale in the Championship.
The Lilywhites have largely impressed so far this season but fell to defeat against Neil Critchley's Queens Park Rangers side last weekend, whereas Town failed to move off the bottom of the table after a loss against Watford.

Preston have their home form to blame for them not competing with the likes of Burnley and Sheffield United at the top of the Championship, but the visit of Huddersfield presents a perfect opportunity to start to overturn their poor record at Deepdale.
Fotheringham has attempted to rally his Huddersfield troops by stating his team are now entering the business end of the season, although a clash with Preston is unlikely to be the game in which the Terriers' fortunes change.

However, should 19th-placed Rotherham prevail in this fixture, they will move ahead of their opponents in the standings as both clubs bid to move away from the relegation zone.

While Rotherham have been more reliant on their home form this campaign, three successive defeats on familiar territory make this a difficult contest. On the other hand, Stoke have one of the better away records in the division, leading us to predict a hard-fought triumph for the Potters.

Sheffield United will welcome Coventry City to Bramall Lane on Monday for a Boxing Day Championship clash.
Having won both of their games since the return to action following the World Cup break, the hosts sit second in the league table, three points off top spot, while their visitors climbed to eighth place after a dramatic win over West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday.
We say: Sheffield United 2-0 Coventry City
The Sky Blues will arrive with plenty of optimism and do have the tools to hurt Sheffield United, but we see the hosts having the quality to dominate Robins's men on home turf and take all three points.

Cardiff have halted a concerning run of defeats with two consecutive draws but are still placed precariously in the league standings ahead of this Boxing Day clash.
QPR will be energised after such an important victory against Preston and with the return of playmaker Chair imminent, Critchley should be able to continue his perfect start to life as R's boss in Wales on Monday.
