Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey reveals that he has apologised to manager Chris Coleman after he was sent off against Scotland on Friday night.

Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey has admitted that he was disappointed with himself after he was sent off against Scotland on Friday night.

Ramsey was dismissed in injury time after scoring his side's equaliser in their 2-1 victory at Hampden Park, and the Arsenal midfielder has revealed that he was quick to admit his mistake to manager Chris Coleman.

The 23-year-old told reporters: "It was very disappointing - it's something that I need to learn from.

"I should have looked up at the clock and let the goalkeeper take the free kick. I had to foul McArthur in the end.

"It's disappointing to do what I've done after a great performance. I said sorry to the manager for letting the boys down. I'm missing the next game so I apologised."

The win for Wales took them up to third place in Group A.
