Gareth Bale missing from Wales's travelling team

Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale was missing from the Wales squad that travelled to Scotland today for their World Cup qualifier on Friday.

The 23-year-old has been unable to train with the rest of his teammates in the week leading up to tomorrow's clash at Hampden Park.

It has since emerged that while Bale did not travel with manager Chris Coleman's squad today, he managed to make his own way to Scotland, according to Sky Sports News.

Although Bale has been nursing an ankle problem, the prolific winger is expected to feature in tomorrow's game.
