Bristol City's Wes Burns earns maiden Wales call-up

Wales hand Wes Burns his first senior call-up after David Cotterill pulled out of the squad for the last Euro 2016 qualifiers with an injury.

Wales have called up Bristol City's Wes Burns to their senior squad for the upcoming final Euro 2016 qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Andorra.

The 20-year-old replaces the injured David Cotterill to be part of the senior setup for the first time.

"It's a very proud moment for me, especially for such an important doubleheader of matches," Burns told City's website.

"This is a chance for Wales to make history and I'm honoured to be a part of it."

Wales are top of Group B heading into the final round of fixtures and need just one point to qualify for the finals for the first time.
