Report: Napoli want Mateo Musacchio

Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio.

The Argentine has been with his current club since 2009 having initially started his professional career at River Plate.

The centre-back's performances over the last couple of seasons have led to plenty of interest, but Villarreal have thus far managed to keep hold of the 24-year-old.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli will return with a bid this summer having failed in their pursuit back in 2010.

Musacchio, who has captained Villarreal this season, has two international caps to his name.
