Vancouver Whitecaps defender Andy O'Brien wants Championship loan move

Vancouver Whitecaps defender Andy O'Brien is said to be on the verge of returning to England on a short-term basis.

The 33-year-old, who joined the Canadian franchise from Leeds United in August, is keen to sign for another Championship club on loan during the MLS off-season.

O'Brien has been training with Bolton Wanderers in recent weeks but, according to The Sun, Ipswich Town and Huddersfield Town are also keen on his services.

Vancouver finished fifth in the Western Conference last season.
