Thigh injury rules out Roberto Soldado

Roberto Soldado will play no part in Valencia's Copa del Rey tie against Real Madrid on Wednesday night because of a thigh injury.

The Spanish international picked up the complaint during his side's 5-0 La Liga loss to Jose Mourinho's team at the weekend.

As a result, he has been ruled out for Valencia's third match against the champions in eight days, while a scan will determine how much more time he is due to spend on the sidelines.

Los Ches go into the match trailing 2-0 from the first leg in Madrid.
