Jurgen Klinsmann: 'No demand for US players in Europe'

United States boss Jurgen Klinsmann believes that his star players are rejoining MLS sides as there is simply "no demand" for US players in Europe's top leagues.

United States boss Jurgen Klinsman has admitted his concerns regarding the lack of demand for USA players in Europe's top leagues.

Stars of the US national side have began to move back to the MLS, with Michael Bradley being the latest - leaving Serie A side Roma for a transfer to Toronto.

It is thought that many players are hoping to secure lucrative deals and more playing time, though Klinsmann believes that is simply "no demand" in Europe for US players.

"There is no demand [for USA players in Europe]," the German coach told ESPNFC.

"It is just a sign of reality. The demand is not there. It is a very, very tricky situation that players face right now.

"You want them to play in the best clubs in best leagues in the world and obviously MLS is not there yet."

Klinsmann took over as coach of the United States national side in 2011.
