Maicosuel's second-half goal proves to be the difference between Udinese and Pescara in Udine on Sunday.

Udinese have defeated Pescara 1-0 at home in Serie A despite playing most of the game with 10 men.

The Bianconeri suffered the numerical disadvantage after just 30 minutes when Danilo was shown a second yellow card for his challenge on Quintero on the edge of the penalty area.

It could have cost the hosts more had Quintero's resulting free kick not come off the crossbar.

Udinese thought that they had taken the lead in the 40th minute when Antonio Di Natale slotted in a Maurizio Domizzi pass from a free kick, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

However, Udinese broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute, Maicosuel taking advantage of a Manuele Blasi mistake and tucking the ball home from just six yards.

Francesco Guidolin's side gained control of the game thereafter despite playing with 10 men and bagged maximum points at the Stadio Friuli.
