Good afternoon. It's around half an hour until kickoff in Verona where Chievo will host Udinese in Serie A. Let's take a look at the team news...

CHIEVO STARTING XI: Puggioni, Bernardini, Cesar, Frey, Drame, Radovanovic, Sestu, Estigarribia, Rigoni, Pellissier, Paloschi

UDINESE STARTING XI: Kelava, Danilo, Bubnjic, Heurtaux, Allan, Agyemang-Badu, Basta, Lazzari, Gabriel, Muriel, Maicosuel

CHIEVO SUBSTITUTES: Silvestri, Squizzi, Sardo, do Santos Claiton, Bentivoglio, Calello, Pamis, Hetemaj, Lazarevic, Improta, Thereau, Ardemagni

UDINESE SUBSTITUTES: Benussi, Naldo, Santos, Widner, Bruno, Mlinar, Lopez, Jadson, Maximiliano, Zielinski, Di Natale, Ranegie

Antonio Di Natale, who has scored just the once for the visitors this season, starts on the bench for Udinese, with Luis Muriel continuing up front alongside Maicosuel.

Alberto Paloschi, who has scored both of Chievo's goals so far this season, continues in attack for the home side, who are still looking for their first win this season.

Heading into this evening's game, Udinese sit 10th in the Serie A table, while Chievo are in 18th.

Ahead of today's game, Muriel signed a contract extension with Udinese, keeping him at the club until 2018. He told the team's website: "I am extremely happy to have signed this contract and I thank the club and the fans. I believe I can become a great player at Udinese by working hard and doing a good job. Our first aim is to get to the 40-point mark, which will guarantee us Serie A football next season."

At his pre-match press conference, Chievo coach Giuseppe Sannino said: "The calendar has been difficult for us having faced the likes of Napoli and Lazio, but the season is long. Our only aim is to survive in Serie A and there is a path that we can go down to make sure we do that. Despite the 3-0 loss to Lazio, I am convinced that we can have a good season."

PREDICTION! As we're not that far from kickoff, it's time for a quick prediction. While neither side are in great form heading into this game, Udinese should have enough to edge past their hosts. I'm going for a 2-1 win for the visitors.

The players have just come out of the tunnel ready for this evening's game.

Chievo get the game underway.

GOAL! Chievo 0-1 Udinese (Maicosuel)

The visitors get a dream start to the match, attacking straight from the kick off. Maicosuel picks up a cross into the box at a tight angle to the right of the goal, but manages to force the ball in from a tricky position to give Udinese the lead. What a start for the visitors!

Chievo respond well to the early goal, physically playing their way through midfield before winning a free kick on the left wing. Estigarribia tries to drill the ball in from the edge of the box, but the ball is deflected wide for a corner.

CHANCE! Chievo continue to bear down on their opponents' goal as they look for a quick equaliser. Radovanovic has an ambitious shot from 30 yards out, forcing a good save from Kelava. It gives the hosts their second corner of the game, but it's swiftly dealt with by the Udinese defenders.

Udinese go on the attack for the first time since their goal in the opening minute. They win their first corner of the match, but Cesar makes a solid clearance for the hosts.

CHANCE! Frey comes within inches of levelling for the visitors, as he tries to head in from a corner, just forcing his effort wide.

GOAL! Chievo 1-1 Udinese (Pellissier)

It's a fantastic strike from the Chievo captain, Sergio Pellissier, to get the home side back on level terms. His pace gives him bags of room on the edge of the box, and he calmly takes it in before slicing it past Kelava.

CHANCES!It's all Chievo at the moment! Straight from the restart, Radovanovic goes for another effort from range, which is blocked, before Danilo gives the hosts another corner. Paloschi tries to tap it in from close range, but he forces it just off target.

Chievo would have been forgiven for letting their heads drop after going behind inside the opening minute of the game, but their response has been just superb. As they continue to dominate the possession, Puggioni tries to slot the ball in for Pellissier, but the striker drifts just offside.

CHANCE! Lazzari tries to restore Udinese's lead with a rocket from 25 yards out, but it's deflected wide for a corner.

Basta and Muriel link up well in midfield as they try to play their way back into the Chievo penalty area, but Puggioni comes off his line to collect the ball.

CHANCE! Radovanovic wins the ball in midfield for Chievo, but is dispossessed by Basta on the edge of the box. Udinese quickly go on the counter, with Muriel completing a brilliant solo run down the wing before beating three defenders to line up a shot, but Frey makes the block.

BOOKING! Dusan Basta picks up the first yellow of the match for a clumsy foul on Pellissier.

BOOKING! After a scrappy couple of minutes, Danilo picks up the second yellow of the day for another clash with Pellissier.

Udinese have managed to stop Chievo's earlier dominance, but are yet to really find their way back into the match, and their discipline could start causing them a problem.

Pellissier is left on the ground following Danilo's crunching tackle, and eventually makes his way off the pitch for treatment. He's able to come back on, but is moving rather gingerly. It would be a big blow for the hosts if they captain had to go off this early.

Estigarribia goes for a volley from 25 yards, but scuffs the ball, giving Kelava a straight-forward stop in the Udinese goal.

BOOKING! Bostjan Cesar is the first Chievo player to be shown a card for barging into Muriel.

CHANCE! From nowhere, Chievo create a fantastic opportunity to take the lead, as Sestu curls the ball in towards Pellissier, who has too much pace for the Udinese defence. He only has to beat Kelava, but heads to ball wide, before punching the post in frustration.

Frey has temporarily gone off, having been left on the ground after taking a boot to the groin. With Chievo a man short, Udinese try to captalise, but Chievo are on the attack.

GOAL! Chievo 2-1 Udinese (Rigoni)

Rigoni wins the ball back from Udinese in midfield before playing his way into the visitors' half. He looks for support ahead of him, but his teammates were all back helping out in defence, so he's goes for goal from 30 yards out, and it's a stunning finish to give Chievo a thoroughly deserved lead.

BOOKING! Estigarribia is shown a yellow card for a bad foul on Lazzari.

With two minutes of stoppage time to come, Muriel tries to curl the ball in with a lofted effort from 25 yards, but it curled too much at the last minute, going wide for a Chievo goal kick.

HALF TIME: Chievo 2-1 Udinese

Chievo head into half time with a 2-1 lead over Udinese following a thoroughly entertaining first half. The home side found themselves a goal down inside the first minute, but responded superbly to give themselves a well-deserved lead.

Let's take a look at some of the stats from the opening 45 minutes. Udinese actually ending up edging the possession with 55%, although Chievo had 58% in the opening 30 minutes. The home side had 10 shots compared to their opponents' four, while Udinese had just one effort on target against the four of Chievo.

The tense atmosphere did boil over a couple of times during the first half. Nicolas Frey and Sergio Pellissier both needed treatment from the Chievo physio following clashes in midfield, while both teams saw two of their players booked. Both sides will need to watch their discipline in the second half if they're to keep all 11 players on the pitch.

The quality of the goals so far has been excellent, Maicosuel's opening effort and Pellissier's equaliser were both brilliant finishes from close range, while Rigoni's strike five minutes from half time was a superb rocket from 30 yards out. Both teams have seemed happy to shoot on site so far, and if they continue in this attacking manner when they come back out, this game will surely not be finishing 2-1.

Antonio di Natale has been going through a vigorous warm-up routine during half time. If Udinese feel like they need some extra fire power up front, he's a good option.

The players are heading back out ready for the second half.

SUB! Di Natale is indeed coming on, with Lazzari making way for the prolific striker.

Udinese get the second half underway.

Chievo start well, winning a free kick near the half-way line, but Paloschi's delivery into the box fails to find any of his teammates before bobbling harmlesslu to Kelava.

Di Natale gets his first touch of the game as Udinese go on their first attack of the second half. He initially loses the ball, but Chievo give away a free kick near the edge of the box. Gabriel delivers it into the box, with Di Natale among those waiting, but Puggioni calmly collects.

Gabriel gives away a corner at the other end as Chievo look to extend their lead. Pellissier curls the ball in from the flag, but Kelava decisively comes off his line to claim possession.

CHANCE! Di Natale plays his way into the box before trying to slice it in from the left-hand side of the penalty area, but Puggioni gets down low to make the save. That was just the second effort on target so far for Udinese.

Pellissier tries an ambitious effort from outside the penalty area, but he slices it well high. Chievo continue to apply pressure though as Rigoni attempts a through ball for the captain, but Pellissier is just offside.

BOOKING! Pellissier goes in the book for a wild challenge on Danilo, giving the visitors a free kick just inside their half. Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu tries to find the target direct from the free kick, but it goes well over.

CHANCE! Di Natale finds himself in a strong position inside the penalty area and picks up the ball from Gabriel, but his shot is well blocked by Frey.

Udinese force another corner, and get plenty of bodies in the box, but Puggioni makes a strong punch away from the Chievo goal. The keeper had little to do in the first half, but has looked strong when called upon in the second half.

SUB! Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu makes way for Roberto Pereyra. It's a move that should help the visitors even more up front.

BOOKING! Gabriel Silva is shown a yellow card after crashing into Alessio Sestu. He's lucky, as he escaped a booking moments earlier for a similar challenge on Nicolas Frey.

Di Natale sends in a perfectly-weighted cross for Muriel, but the striker finds his path blocked by three Chievo defenders. He tries to force his shot through anyway, but Frey gets the ball away for the hosts.

OFF THE BAR! Dusan Basta comes the close to equalising for the visitors with a superb effort with 25 yards out. It dips at the last minute, deceiving the Chievo keeper, but is just kept out by the cross bar.

CHANCE! Muriel sends the ball back if for the visitors, but it's put wide.

BOOKING! Alessio Sestu is booked for a challenge on Gabriel Silva in midfield.

CHANCE! Di Natale beats the offside trap to find himself with only the keeper to beat from close range, but Gabriel's ball into the box has too much pace for the striker to control. He lunges at it desperately in an attempt to head it in, but it goes behind for a goal kick.

SUB! Sestu heads off the pitch, with Perparim Hetemaj taking his place.

Udinese have looked increasingly dangerous in the last 10 minutes, it feels like an equaliser is imminent for the visitors. The pace of Di Natale has proved too much for the Chievo defence this half. The home side have responded by getting extra bodies back, but they still have over 10 minutes to hang on.

Chievo have realised that they may need another goal to secure the win, and have upped the pace in the last couple of minutes, looking to catch Udinese out on the counter attack. They've not really tested the visitors' defense, but they have stopped Udinese's earlier attacking spell.

SUB! UDinese make their final change of the match, bringing on Piotr Zielinski for Igor Bubnjic.

CHANCE! Di Natale bursts into the Chievo box, he manages to stay on his feet despite some close marking, but just loses his footing as he fires the ball towards the goal, allowing Puggioni the chance to make a solid save.

CHANCE! Chievo look for a third on the counter, as Pellissier tries to turn in a packed penalty area, but Udinese just manage to clear.

SUB! Chievo take off captain Sergio Pellissier, who has put it quite a shift this evening, bringing on Cyril Thereau for the last couple of minutes.

Thereau looked to make an immediate impact, winning a header in midfield before running towards the Udinese penalty area, but he's quickly blocked by Danilo.

CHANCE! Udinese win a corner, which falls to Di Natale, but the striker sees his effort blocked on the line by Drame. There will be four minutes of stoppage time.

SUB! It's the final change of the match for Chievo, as Paloschi goes off for Simone Bentivoglio.

Udinese are continuing to press, but Chievo have everyone back to keep the visitors out of their penalty area. The home side are defending desperately as they try to hold on for their first win of the season.

CHANCE! A high ball into the box drops to Di Natale, who has made an impressive impact since coming off the bench at half time, but Puggioni makes the stop.

BOOKING! Frey hacks down Muriel out wide around 20 yards out, earning him Chievo's fifth yellow of the game. Eveny Kelava goes up for the free kick, but Puggioni is able to punch it clear.

FULL TIME: Chievo 2-1 Udinese

Despite a strong second-half performance for the visitors, inspired by Di Natale, Chievo manage to hold on for their opening win of the season.

The win lifts the home side up the 13th, while Udinese drop to 10th. Both sides are on four points from four games.

That's all from Verona this evening, but stick around for match reports from this game and Cagliari's clash with Sampdoria, as well as coverage of Livorno's trip to Genoa later this evening. Thanks for joining me this evening, goodbye.
