Danny Holmes wants Celtic move

Tranmere Rovers defender Danny Holmes has admitted that he is interested in a move to Scottish outfit Celtic.

The 23-year-old impressed in League One last season, and he has revealed that he wants to play "at the highest level".

"Like any other player I want to play at the highest level. If a club as big as Celtic want me and agree with Tranmere then I'll be delighted to move to Scotland," he told Sky Sports News.

Holmes began his senior career at Rovers in 2007.
