Former France full-back Pascal Chimbonda has joined Tranmere Rovers on trial.
The 34-year-old, whose CV includes spells at Tottenham Hotspur, Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland, has been without a club since leaving Doncaster Rovers 12 months ago.
Ex-Wales midfielder Jason Koumas is also training with the Birkenhead outfit.
Both players featured in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Wrexham in a pre-season friendly.
