League One roundup: Top two held

League One's top two sides Tranmere Rovers and Sheffield United were both held to draws tonight.

Rovers failed to find the net against struggling Walsall, while United played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Crewe Alexandra at Bramall Lane, in which they had previously led 2-0.

Portsmouth pulled two goals back at home against Leyton Orient, but they could not grab an equaliser and went down 3-2.

David McGoldrick netted a brace as Coventry City took all three points at Colchester United in a 3-1 win.

Shrewsbury Town and MK Dons shared the points in an entertaining 2-2 draw while there were also four goals at Carlisle United, where Doncaster Rovers took a 3-1 win.

Yeovil Town snatched all three points at the death at Crawley Town, with David Hunt putting through his own net late on.
