Aleksandar Pesic, Wissam Ben Yedder strike as Toulouse hammer Rennes

Toulouse climb Ligue 1 thanks to a 3-0 win over Rennes at Route de Lorient this evening.

Toulouse took the lead on 43 minutes when Aleksandar Pesic met Adrien Regattin's cross and found the bottom left corner of Benoit Costil's goal.

That lead was extended on 57 minutes through Fallou Diagne's own goal which came seconds after Tongo Doumbia's header had crashed against the post.

The away side wrapped up the victory four minutes later when Wissam Ben Yedder converted another Regattin cross.

Next up for Toulouse is the visit of Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday, while Rennes travel to high-flying Girondins de Bordeaux on Sunday.
