Jermain Defoe: 'Loan switch from Toronto FC to Tottenham Hotspur possible'

Jermain Defoe has revealed that he could return to Tottenham Hotspur on loan in the future.

The 31-year-old striker left the Premier League outfit last month to move to Toronto FC on a four-year contract.

"It's already been mentioned at Tottenham," the England international told Sky Sports News.

"Yeah. I think a lot of boys do that, Clint Dempsey went back to Fulham, so you never know.

"Coming back to Tottenham, scoring a few goals would be nice."

Defoe scored 10 goals in all competitions for Tottenham this season.
