Swindon Town boss Paulo Di Canio facing the axe by potential new owner?

Swindon Town boss Paulo Di Canio reportedly faces the sack due to his high salary despite his side being third in League One.

Swindon Town boss Paulo Di Canio is at risk of being sacked by the club's potential new owners because his contract is too expensive, according to reports.

The Robins are currently third in League One and are just two points behind leaders Tranmere Rovers following a 10-game unbeaten run.

However, The Mirror suggests that the Italian's hefty salary is a price too high for prospective buyer Jed McCrory as he lines up own management team.

Di Canio, himself claimed last week that he was considering his position at the club, although the decision over the his future may now be taken out of his hands.
