Olympic women's football - Sweden vs. South Africa

Sweden's women's football team head into the Olympics as one of their nation's main hopes for a medal at this summer's Games.

They should be full of confidence, having finished third during last year's World Cup.

Despite losing a number of their players from that tournament, coach Thomas Dennerby still has Lotta Schelin to call upon. The Lyon striker, who has 40 international goals to her name, is expected to lead the line during the Olympic opener.

When South Africa take to the Coventry pitch tomorrow, it will be the first time they have participated as a team at the Games.

Many have tipped the inexperienced squad not to win any of their three Group F matches.

Possible starting lineups:

Sweden: Lindhal; Sembrandt, Berglund, Svensson, Thunebro; Dahlkvist, Asllani, Nilsson, Serger; Schelin, Jakobssson

South Africa: Barker; Vilakazi, Sister, Cele, Wyk; Louw, Dlamini, Skiti, Ntsweng; Smeda, Matlou

Sports Mole says: 4-0
