Swansea City 'eager to keep Jonathan de Guzman next season'

Swansea City are reportedly working towards keeping hold of Villarreal midfielder Jonathan de Guzman.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at the Liberty Stadium, but has admitted that he is unsure where his future lies following Villarreal's promotion to La Liga.

It is believed that the Spanish outfit are willing to sell De Guzman for £7m, but Swansea are hopeful that they can take the midfielder on loan once again if they are unable to meet the fee, according to Wales Online.

De Guzman has been a Villarreal player since 2011.
