Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has expressed his delight at his summer signings, having agreed a deal to secure striker Wilfried Bony.
The Vitesse Arnhem player will join the Swans for around £13m and become their ninth recruit of the window, having already snapped up Jordi Amat, Jose Canas, Jonathan de Guzman, Alejandro Pozuelo, Jonjo Shelvey, Gregor Zabret and Alex Gogic.
Having fallen out with the board of summer targets at the end of last season, Laudrup is pleased to be bringing in so many new faces.
"The board have delivered on signings," Laudrup told the South Wales Echo. "But it wasn't about saying I wanted this, this and this. Or I want £18m, £21m or £24m.
"It was about knowing we had to strengthen our team. We achieved so much last season, but just to maintain that position we had to improve.
"We've bought in the right standard of player."
Laudrup also revealed that he has had offers to manage bigger clubs.
