Garry Monk: 'We have enough quality to beat the drop'

Swansea City boss Garry Monk believes that his side have enough quality to muster the points they need to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Swansea City boss Garry Monk feels that his side have more than enough quality to fire themselves away from the relegation zone in the Premier League.

The Swans have won just one of their last six games and are now just four points clear of the drop zone, with four games to play this season.

Monk told the club's official website: "We've been far too inconsistent. At times we can be unplayable, but at the other end of it, when we do perform badly we're very bad.

"That is what has put us in the situation we're in but we've got enough quality, spirit and togetherness in the squad to make sure we're safe.

"Talk is cheap, and we need to make sure we do it in these next four games."

Swansea face Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
