Swansea City midfielder Jonathan de Guzman has hailed the unity of the team following their survival in the Premier League.
The Swans made sure of another season in the top flight last Saturday thanks to an emphatic 4-1 victory at home to Aston Villa.
Despite reports of disharmony among the players at the Liberty Stadium over the past few months, De Guzman believes that their togetherness has helped them to avoid the drop.
"Such a beautiful club like this you can describe in one word - family," he told Swansea's official website. "We've stuck together like a family and we got the job done.
"It's been a big fight for us for the season, especially for myself. A lot of things changed - a lot of adaptation after a great season last year - but we have stuck together as a team, got the results and we are safe.
"The Villa result has taken a lot of pressure off our shoulders. It is a relief to be safe. We would have loved it a lot earlier like last season so we could enjoy it more, but we are very happy with the result against Villa."
Swansea play their final home game of the season on Saturday when Southampton make the trip to South Wales.
