Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins is planning to hold contract talks with Scott Sinclair in the near future.
The winger's current deal at the Liberty Stadium is due to expire in the summer of 2013.
Jenkins has revealed that he is keen to avoid losing the 23-year-old on a free transfer at the end of next season by reaching an agreement over an extension this summer.
"We said we would sit down and discuss things with Scott at the end of the season and that's something we will be looking to do over the next few weeks," Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.
"Hopefully I will have had the chance to meet Scott's agent before the end of the month."
Sinclair joined the Swans in 2010 from Chelsea.
