Swans' Rangel out for a month

Swansea City defender Angel Rangel is expected to be sidelined for up to a month following ankle ligament damage.

The Spaniard picked up the injury when he fell awkwardly during the Swans' goalless draw with Aston Villa on Sunday.

"He had to leave the stadium on crutches and a scan on Tuesday confirmed the right-back has damaged his ankle ligament, meaning he could be sidelined for up to a month," read a club statement.

The Welsh side travel to Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League on Saturday.
