Rodgers: 'We showed resolve and resilience'

Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers praised his side's spirit to come back from a goal down to beat West Brom 2-1 this afternoon.

Goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Danny Graham turned the game around at the Hawthorns for the Welsh side.

Roy Hodgson's side pushed hard for a late equaliser as they attacked Swansea's defence. Rodgers said that he was impressed with his side's "resolve and resilience" in working hard to keep out West Brom and get the three points.

"It was, yet again, another terrific performance from the players," Rodgers told Sky Sports News.

"We showed our resolve and resilience. We knew we would have to have patience in our game today.

"It was a wonderful team performance and I'm very proud of them."

Swansea face fellow promoted side Norwich next Saturday in the Premier League.
