Garry Monk: 'Andre Ayew has been incredible'

Swansea City manager Garry Monk describes Andre Ayew as "incredible" after he scored against Chelsea on his Premier League debut.

Garry Monk has described summer signing Andre Ayew as "incredible" after he scored on his Premier League debut for Swansea City.

The Ghana international, who joined the Welsh side on a free transfer from Marseille, netted the Swans first goal in the 2-2 draw with champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The manager told reporters: "He's come in and he's been incredible.

"He's worked extremely hard with the group, the group have worked hard with him to get him settled and it's always good for a new player when you come into a new league, even though we knew he has great quality, to get that first goal. It will give him great confidence."

Ayew scored 10 goals for Marseille last season.
