Liverpool to hold press conference

Liverpool have called a press conference for 10am on Friday morning.

The Premier League club are expected to announce Brendan Rodgers as their new manager.

The former Swansea City boss was thought to have agreed a compensation deal for himself and three members of his backroom staff with the Merseysiders on Thursday afternoon.

Liverpool have been looking for a new manager following the sacking of Kenny Dalglish earlier this month.
