Michael Laudrup: 'Miguel Michu similar to Robin van Persie'

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has claimed that Miguel Michu is similar to Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.

The Premier League's joint-top scorers are expected to meet on Sunday when the Swans welcome United to the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League.

"Michu and Van Persie are similar," Laudrup told reporters. "They look alike, they are both tall, left-footed players, they are not fast but they know when to make the runs.

"It's fantastic to talk about Michu as one of the top scorers in the ­competition. It is normal for United to have one, but not so for Swansea."

The Welsh club go into the match in 10th place in the table, while the Red Devils are six points clear at the top of the standings.
