Michael Laudrup laments Swansea City's 2-0 away defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has lamented his side's 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.

Goals from Matthew Lowton and Christian Benteke saw the Villans pick up maximum points at Villa Park and end the Swans' unbeaten run in the league.

"At this level, the small details tipped the balance from positive to negative," Laudrup told Sky Sports.

"I think today in the first half, we started quite well and we had a couple of big chances. One in particular from Nathan [Dyer] from the edge of the box, but it was a great save.

"And five minutes later they ended up scoring one of the goals of the day, so that's it. Maybe I think in the first half we gave the ball away a little bit too easily, but when we played fast we created some chances."

Swansea are currently fifth in the league table with seven points from four matches.
