The Football Association looks into Sam Clucas's controversial goal celebration for Swansea after it was linked to a porn website.

The Football Association has reportedly opened an investigation into Sam Clucas's controversial goal celebration during Swansea City's recent victory over Arsenal.

The midfielder allegedly recreated the 'spy' symbol of a particular pornography website with his hand after scoring twice in the Swans' 3-1 victory at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Welsh outfit have released a statement condemning the "degradation of women" and insisted that the 27-year-old was not "fully aware" of the site's content, but has apologised.

A Swansea spokesperson said: "As a club we were unaware of any links to the internet group in question and disappointed to learn of the association as it does not reflect the values of Swansea City nor our strong commitment to equality.

"We wholeheartedly condemn the degradation of women and believe everyone's rights, dignity and individual worth is to be respected.

"Having spoken to Sam, he was not fully aware of the pornographic sections of this internet group and at no time intended to cause offence which he apologises for.

"The club will speak to Sam again internally to establish the full facts, while also taking the opportunity to remind everyone of their responsibilities."

Clucas has made 18 Premier League appearances this season, scoring three goals.
