Nathan Dyer proud of "great achievement" after passing Swansea City milestone

Dyer proud of Swansea milestone

Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer has said that he was pleased to register a "great achievement" for the South Wales club in their 1-0 victory over Burnley this afternoon.

The 26-year-old scored the only goal of the game on his 100th Premier League appearance for the Swans, but he has reiterated that picking up three points was the main objective this afternoon.

"It's a great achievement for me," he told the club's official website. "It's always nice to score a goal, especially if it helps the team to a win and hopefully there will be many more to come. We wanted back-to-back wins and we achieved that so I'm pleased for everyone involved.

"You have to battle that bit harder when you face a team that plays a lot of long balls and that's what we did defensively - I thought the boys did really well. The work we are putting in in training in terms of what we are trying here is brilliant.

"Everything is set up and we're just trying to keep climbing and I'm more than confident that we'll get the points we need."

The win means that Swansea City are only the second team to have a 100% record after two Premier League games so far this season, along with Chelsea.
