The agent of Sunderland flop Marcos Angeleri has claimed that the defender wants a move back to his native Argentina.
The 29-year-old joined the Black Cats from Estudiantes in 2010 for £1.5m.
However, a bad run of injuries have led him to make just three appearances in two years at the Stadium of Light.
"Next week I am going to have a meeting with the officials of Independiente for resolving the situation of Marcos Angeleri," said Miguel Pires.
"He wants to return to Argentina, and even more to a team like Independiente."
Angeleri has made four appearances for the Argentine national team.
