Wes Brown has admitted that Sunderland have to do more to stand any chance of avoiding relegation from the Premier League this season.
The Black Cats slipped to another defeat at the hands of West Ham United on Monday night to leave them four points from safety in 19th, but Brown believes that the team have been playing good football despite their troubles.
"We just can't put our chances in the back of the net at the moment," the defender told reporters. "We're playing good football but it doesn't count if you're not getting the points. But you can't give up, all we can do is stick at it.
"We've just got to keep going and keeping battling on. If anything, we have to give even more."
Sunderland return to action against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Monday night.
