Dick Advocaat unsure over Sunderland future

Advocaat coy on Sunderland future

Dick Advocaat has claimed that he has not yet made a decision over his future at Sunderland.

Sunderland meet Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night before finishing the season with a trip to Chelsea as they bid to avoid relegation once again.

The Dutchman has taken the club to within a point of guaranteeing safety with two games remaining in their campaign, and he has refused to confirm whether he will stay at the club if they secure their Premier League status.

"I repeat - I have not made a decision yet on my future. I have not given Sunderland an answer, one way or the other. I will not do that until next week. Nobody knows yet what I will do," he told reporters.

"Fighting relegation is something new for me, and I don't like it. I don't like relegation battles, because I am used to working at a higher level - challenging for championships and cups."

Sunderland can lose both of their remaining games and still avoid relegation if Hull City fail to beat Manchester United on Sunday.
